Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone had a fantastic St. Patrick's Day!
I had a fun day with the wee Gurranimals.
I baked some vegan Irish soda bread with Ethan. We called it math and science for school today, learning is fun! We made our bread green for a bit of festiveness. After one loaf of bread Ethan was done learning in the kitchen. But I stuck around to make more yummy holiday foods.

Here is a loaf of yummy beer bread.

Here is my version of corned beef and cabbage.
Since I am a vegetarian I obviously couldn't be authentic here. This is seitan corned beef, which was delicious, and napa cabbage. You can find the "corned beef" recipe here: http://everydaydish.tv/index.php?page=recipe&recipe=98

Here is my dinner plate.
Seitan corned beef, cabbage, soda bread, beer bread, and super festive green navy beans. The green navy beans were renamed "Hulk beans". The kids thought they were fun.

Of course everyone wore green so there was no pinching happening in our house. I couldn't get a photo of Ethan, but here's the other wee ones.

As usual, the pixie chick was not shy in front of the camera.

Where'd the time go?

Lately time has not been my friend. It seems that the days pass all too quickly before I have had time to do everything on my to do list! The Gurranimals and I have been sick for the last couple of weeks too. I have finished a couple of projects on my list though. Here are a couple of hats I finished today.
These are for Little E & Gabi. (Codie, I expect photos of the kids wearing these!)
I hope to have lots more projects to post real soon.

UPDATE:
Here are my cute godkids wearing their new hats.

Feeling Better!

Can you tell? Liam feels better.
And why shouldn't he? He shared his sickness with the whole house!

Pillow Envy

After making all the cute pillow cases for the kids I felt a little left out. And of course my pillow didn't feel like part of the "in" crowd. So of course I had to make another pillowcase!

My first pair of pants

I followed a pattern for the first time since home economics class 20 years ago. I made a pair of pants for my pixie chic.
Hey Mom, I found a sock!
Ok, back to modeling...
I think they look adorable on Sidney. Not bad for my first pair of pants! Now I might just attempt making some for myself.

My Sick boy.....

My poor sick little Liam! He woke up with a fever today. Of course I took him straight to Kaiser! Liam has a history of having really high fevers so I get a bit scared whenever he gets one. The Dr. didn't think there was anything terrible sounding in his chest which was great. He didn't think it looked like Strep which was also great. He does have an ear infection though. I feel so bad that he feels so rotten. I hate when the kids are sick!

Birthday Gifts

Here are the birthday gifts I made for my God kids, Gabi & Ethan. I think they came out super cute. I made them each a pillow with a pocket to carry a bedtime doll.

This one is for Ethan or Little E. Yes, my son Ethan is Big E.

He is so cute tucked in the pocket!
But I am really not that happy about the way his body turned out. He's kinda goofy. He was inspired by a doll I saw in a magazine. I would
have liked his feet to come out differently.

I guess for a monster, he's just perfect though.

This is Gabi's pillow.

I made a mini version of my LuLu doll to put in her pillow.

I think the mini version is pretty cute. I definitely will need to make more Mini LuLu's for my ETSY shop.

I hope the kids like their presents.
