PIXIE POWER!

It's finished!

I have finally finished the Pixie's birthday present. I have already posted the rag quilt, but here it is with the matching bag and cute stuffed kitty. I think it all came out much cuter than I imagined it would. I hope she enjoys it.

Here is the the bag with the quilt inside.

And here is the kitty. I used a pattern by Amy Butler for the kitty. Everything else was made up as I went.

Sugar Skulls for Sidney

Not that Sid doesn't have enough clothes, the girl has a closet that rivals Paris Hiltons! Thanks to our friends who have given us bags upon bags of hand me downs! I LOVE hand me downs! But anyhow, I made my pixie chick another pair of pants. She needed some sugar skulls to spice it up! I really am happy with the way these turned out. And of course, she couldn't look any cuter in them!

Shabby Chic Rag Quilt

I bought this fabric quite some time ago to make a quilt for Sid. As usual I never got around to it because my "to make" list is huge. But yesterday I decided I needed to get it made. I am going to make a matching tote bag and it is all part of Sid's birthday present. Yes, there is more on my "to make" list for her birthday too! There will be more photos to come. But for now, here is her quilt. I absolutely LOVE it. I should have made it bigger though. It is perfect kid sized, but it would have been gorgeous if I made it even bigger.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone had a fantastic St. Patrick's Day!
I had a fun day with the wee Gurranimals.
I baked some vegan Irish soda bread with Ethan. We called it math and science for school today, learning is fun! We made our bread green for a bit of festiveness. After one loaf of bread Ethan was done learning in the kitchen. But I stuck around to make more yummy holiday foods.

Here is a loaf of yummy beer bread.

Here is my version of corned beef and cabbage.
Since I am a vegetarian I obviously couldn't be authentic here. This is seitan corned beef, which was delicious, and napa cabbage. You can find the "corned beef" recipe here: http://everydaydish.tv/index.php?page=recipe&recipe=98

Here is my dinner plate.
Seitan corned beef, cabbage, soda bread, beer bread, and super festive green navy beans. The green navy beans were renamed "Hulk beans". The kids thought they were fun.

Of course everyone wore green so there was no pinching happening in our house. I couldn't get a photo of Ethan, but here's the other wee ones.

As usual, the pixie chick was not shy in front of the camera.

Where'd the time go?

Lately time has not been my friend. It seems that the days pass all too quickly before I have had time to do everything on my to do list! The Gurranimals and I have been sick for the last couple of weeks too. I have finished a couple of projects on my list though. Here are a couple of hats I finished today.
These are for Little E & Gabi. (Codie, I expect photos of the kids wearing these!)
I hope to have lots more projects to post real soon.

UPDATE:
Here are my cute godkids wearing their new hats.

Feeling Better!

Can you tell? Liam feels better.
And why shouldn't he? He shared his sickness with the whole house!
