More Pillows

I finished the last of the Gurranimal pillowcases today. Liam has been enjoying his Tom and Jerry pillow and finally now Ethan and Sid have theirs to enjoy as well.

Ethan's Pillow

Sid's pillow. How sweet is this fabric?!

New Dolls

A couple of new dolls. They will soon be added to my ETSY shop.

Console Cozy

This past week we had to purchase a new vehicle. Our Jeep died on us and out of necessity we are a two car family without a choice. We picked out a Toyota Prius. Having a new car is stress full though. In all its newness we have to worry about getting it dirty. Me, being me had to make a console cozy to keep the console which is covered with fabric nice and clean. It has pockets to hold stuff and help keep the car neat.

If I could cozy everything I would!

Busy Busy Busy

It's gonna be a busy weekend for me for sure. I have several projects I need to finish for myself and b-day gifts to finish for starters. Then I just got a bunch of orders today. I have 7 hats in all that need to get done and two dolls. Whew, I guess I will have some late nights to look forward too.

Kid Pillows

I was up until the wee hours last night sewing this for Liam. I didn't start sewing until after midnight. I still have to make Ethan's and Sid's. Plus I have two special ones to make for my god kids. I am putting pockets on theirs and stuffing a handmade doll inside, shh those are b-day surprises! I will post the rest of them when I finish them. I am having a heck of a time finding travel pillows at the store though.

Wintery Weekend

This last weekend my family took a trip to Sugar Pine to celebrate my boy's birthdays. They chose to have a mini vacation instead of having a party. We shared our weekend with some great friends and we had a great time.

We stayed in a cabin that was surrounded in beautiful snow. I couldn't believe the amount of snow that was everywhere.
My family had been to this cabin in the past but we never experienced it like this. We couldn't even pull into the driveway...or even find it for that matter! My husband had to shovel snow while we remained in the car, poor guy!

All of us at the end of the weekend. Kevin, Ethan, Kyle, Jennifer, Darren, Liam, Me & Sidney

Molly

This is Molly, she is Holly's twin sister. You can tell them apart only by the bow in her hair.

Holly was such a hit that an exact replica was called for. Holly wasn't given to her intended recipient. The lady that purchased her had planned to give her to a little girl named Holly. But before she could, another b-day popped up and a gift was needed. So Holly went to live with another little girl. This little girl LOVED her so much that she didn't put her down for the rest of her b-day party. So along came Molly. She looks just like her twin sister but she has a bow in her hair and different buttons on her dress. I had to make them slightly different, they have to still be one of a kind after all.

Things n' stuff

Ok so here are some photos finally of the special order Klondike hats I made last week.

In all I had 5 of these hats to make. I also made a pink one and another black one that are not pictured. I hope they are keeping the heads they were made for very toasty in this chilly weather!

I was asked to make a "slug" hat for a student as UCSC, home of the banana slug. I was given a photo of a similar style hat that they wanted me to recreate. So here it is.
I will be pretty busy the next couple of days with more orders. I am happy that sales are picking up! I have an order for a mohawk hat and an order for another doll to fill. I am especially excited to be selling my dolls. I hope that all the little girls who are getting them love them as much as my Sidney loves hers.

Candy & Sugar

I managed to make two new dolls today.

This is Sugar. She has some hand embroidery on her dress. This is something new for me, I'd like to do more of it in the future.

This is Candy. She has sprinkles on her dress and cupcakes on her tights. Too cute.
They are both up for sale in my ETSY store.

Check out the February Giveaway at Apronista

These aprons are too cute from Beansoup. I LOVE the vintage halloween and the vintage firetrucks. The Gurranimals would be adorable running around in these!

Where am I?

I have been very busy this weekend. Not so much with projects, but everything else. I had every intention to post what I had been working on during the week, but as usual in the land of GurrAnimals that wasn't on the list of things to let me do. As it is, I have two of the animals in bed with me right now. Sweet Sidney decided just as I was climbing in bed with my laptop that it was time for her to wake up and play. I don't know who declared midnight playtime, but the pixie chick thinks it's a fabulous idea! Liam is a nightly resident in my room, so that's nothing new. But tonight he decided he was going to invite a few of his friends. So we also have Spongebob, Muno, Clifford, and Bob Bear in bed with us. Suddenly my king sized bed isn't so big. I am almost certain that tonight will be a night that Ethan decides to join us too. Pretty soon I expect Darren and I will be in the kids room in bunk beds. Good thing we are done adding to our family.
So posting projects will have to wait for another day. Maybe a day I don't have to type with one hand.
